Can you believe how fast the month of April went by? I sure can’t! April was a cold, rainy month here in Boston, so I was all about keeping warm this month! And can we talk about my face mask obsession? Let’s dive into my favorite beauty products this month….
Kiehl’s Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque
When I saw that Kiehl’s came out with new face masks, I had to give them a try. As one of my favorite (and most affordable!) brands, I hopped right on over to my nearest Kiehl’s location to pick this bad boy up.
At $32.00 dollars, there is a generous amount of product, that seems like it will last me forever (I hope!). While this mask claims to “strengthen skin against environmental aggressors” (sure sounds great?!), I find that it is a great mask for dry skin, and with these chilly New England days, my skin just sucks it up.
I’ve been using it twice a week. As instructed, I apply a generous amount of the mask to my face and neck and let it sit for five minutes. I then take the excess of with a tissue or cotton pad, and massage the rest of the product into my face. I then top it off with my normal routine, serum, moisturizer, eye cream, and catch some sleep. It leaves my face a little sticky, but trust me, it’s worth it.
And then when I wake up, my skin is a soft as a baby’s bottom. I would recommend this product for those with normal to dry skin, it might be a bit to heavy for those with combination/oily skin.

Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye
Another Kiehl’s product. I have to admit, I went a little crazy at Kiehl’s in April, but with all of their reward benefits it was hard not to! I repurchased this eye cream after using up my last tube, and let me say, the few days I had to go without it I noticed a huge difference in my under eye area (can you say bags-zilla?).
The product claims to “reduce puffiness and dark under-eye circles”, and it truly does! And for $37.00 dollars, it does not break the bank. I also love that this product (and most of Kiehl’s products) does not include parabens, and that other nasty crap (I will admit… I am guilty of using products with nasty crap aka parabens, mineral oil, etc.). So that is always a plus!
Overall, a great eye cream that’s not going to cost you and arm and a leg.

Garnier Micellar Water
I decided to try this micellar water when my local CVS was sold out of the Simple micellar water, and let’s just say I haven’t gone back to Simple. I love the bottle (nice and sturdy), and it works like a charm.
I use this twice a day, first, when I get out of the shower to remove any leftover eye makeup residue from the day before. I also use it a night, I use this on a cotton pad to remove face and eye makeup before washing, and after washing to remove and leftover eye makeup.
It’s a great price (I have a hard time spending a lot of money on fancy water), and overall a great product. Highly recommend.

Fresh, Rose Face Mask
I got a deluxe sample of this mask in my April Glossybox, and man-oh-man, I fell in love. I am pretty much obsessed with anything rose related, and this did not disappoint.
I’ve been using it twice a week, even though instructions say it is safe for daily use (nobody got time for that!). While I haven’t seen any drastic or miraculous results, it leaves my face soft, glowy, and feeling great. Only downside is the random rose chunks… but Noah (my fiance) is used to seeing me wear weird masks, so do not worry my fellow mask junkies.
OH and another downside, the price! Like I said earlier I received a deluxe sample size, but I may have to bite the bullet and just buy the full-size at $62.00, it’s that great.

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
I have to say… this may be holy grail status. I have been searching for the perfect crease-proof concealer for ages! I was randomly at a MAC counter at my local Bloomies, trying new eye shadows, and the makeup artist suggested that I try this concealer. I had never tried any of MAC’s face products before, and I must say I was impressed, and even more impressed by the $21.00 price tag (can I get a heck ya!).
I’ve been using this all month, and have not returned to my Bobbi Brown corrector since. I apply it after my foundation (you just need the tiniest squirt), and blend with my beauty blender. Then BOOM bright eyes and no creasing, thank you MAC. It also comes in 16 shades! You will not be sorry…

Sara Happ “The Lip Slip”
I stumbled across this gloss at the counter of death at my local MiniLuxe nail salon, and obviously, I bought it. This is the perfect NO maintenance gloss. It’s pink and sheer and has gold sparkles and is SUPER moisturizing. It’s the perfect gloss for the days you just DGAF.
